More Australians turn to the internet when researching products than any other medium, so it stands to reason that you should market your business online. Getting your website visible in the search engine results might seem like the first step, but there is a critical one that comes right before that.

There has been a lot of fuss made over the latest Google Update which is known as Google Panda, or the Farmer update. This is a slight change in the general algorithm which is used to determine the page ranks of sites on Google search. Rather than a complete overhaul the Google Panda update is more like an added filter trying to fish out all of the sites which are deemed as poor quality.

Following on the success of ad targeting in Facebook, Google has now added a similar ‘interests’ feature to their Adwords platform.
