What made you want to become a marketing professional? Tell us a bit more about how long you’ve been in the industry and the different locations you have worked.

My dad was in advertising, so I grew up in the agency world. My siblings and I were extras in plenty of print and TV commercials as kids (cheap labour – cheers Dad) which I guess is what initially sparked my interest in the industry. When I hit high school, the only thing I was good at was English, so that eliminated a lot of professions for me… engineer, architect… but I always loved journalism, marketing and advertising so that's what I studied uni. When I graduated, I taught English in Japan for 2 years, and on arriving back in Perth, started working at a media intelligence agency, which is where I worked for the next 12 years, before coming to White Chalk Road - My dream job!

We know you are a wine connoisseur and love a good Chardy. What is your favourite winery or place to visit when you head down south?

Impossible! That’s like choosing your favourite child. But I would say my top three... Woodlands Estate, Grace Farm and uhh there’s too many, I love them all, probably Pierro.

What do you love most about living in Perth?

When I was a teenager, I thought Perth was so boring, but after living in Asia, I love the fresh air. I love the fact that you can walk down the street and there aren’t people everywhere all the time. Our climate can’t be beaten, we have the best beaches in the world, people are really easy-going, it’s not a crazy hectic lifestyle like you get in other states and countries. It’s a great place for work/life balance.
